Camera Assistant

When you grant Camera permission and start Camera Assistant, the app analyzes camera frames in memory with a bundled MediaPipe pose model. It may draw body landmarks and calculate guidance.

Salah Assistant does not record, save, or upload camera images, video, or body landmarks. Camera calibration values remain on your device.

Location, Prayer Times, Qibla, and Reminders

If you choose automatic location, Android provides coarse or precise coordinates to the app. Those coordinates are used locally to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. They are not sent to our servers or attached to advertising requests.

You may use the app without granting location permission by accepting the device-timezone defaults and configured fallback location. Your timezone, calculation settings, reminder choices, and schedules are stored locally.

Prayer History and Preferences

Prayer sessions are saved to the app's local database only when you choose to save them. Preferences, reminder settings, and downloaded Athan files are stored in the app's private storage.

You can delete individual or all saved sessions in the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app removes this local data. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app data.

Feedback

The feedback screen does not send anything automatically. It creates text and opens Android's share chooser. You choose the receiving app and whether to send it.

If enabled, the text includes the Salah Assistant version, device model, and Android version. It never includes location, prayer history, camera frames, or pose landmarks. The recipient's privacy policy applies after you share it.

Optional Account Information

Salah Assistant works in guest mode. If you choose email-link or Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication processes information needed to authenticate and manage the account.

Depending on the method, this can include:

• Email address.
• Display name supplied by Google.
• A unique Firebase user ID.
• IP address, user-agent, device/app information, and authentication security information used to provide the service and prevent abuse.

We do not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics, and prayer history and settings are not synchronized to a cloud account in the current app.

Athan Recordings from Firebase Storage

The app contains three bundled commercial-use Athan recordings named Athan 1, Athan 2, and Athan 3.

If you choose Load more from Firebase, the app requests the list and custom display-name metadata for supported audio files in the Firebase Storage athan/ folder. A selected recording is downloaded to the app's private storage.

The app does not upload user audio. Firebase requests include the Firebase app/SDK identifiers and may include your Firebase user ID if you are signed in.

Purchases

The app may offer a lifetime premium entitlement through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes the transaction under Google's terms and privacy policy.

The app checks the purchase state and keeps the last validated entitlement in an encrypted file protected by Android Keystore. Salah Assistant does not operate a separate payment server and does not receive or store a payment-card number.

How Information Is Used

Information transmitted to Google services is used only to:

• Authenticate an optional account and prevent authentication abuse.
• List and download Athan audio selected by the user.
• Request, measure, secure, and display ads and manage consent choices.
• Process and restore the optional lifetime purchase.
• Maintain and improve the reliability and security of those Google services.

We do not sell camera data, precise location, prayer history, or prayer choices. We do not use those data types for targeted advertising.

Service Providers

The app uses these Google services, which process information under their own terms and privacy documentation:

• Firebase Authentication and Cloud Storage for Firebase.
• Google Mobile Ads, AdMob, and User Messaging Platform.
• Google Play services, Google sign-in, and Google Play Billing.

Retention and Deletion

Local settings and downloaded files remain until you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Saved prayer sessions remain until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall.

A pending email-link address is kept locally until the sign-in completes or local app data is cleared. The encrypted purchase entitlement remains until local app data is cleared, but the purchase itself remains associated with the Google Play account under Google's retention rules.

Firebase account and Google advertising data are retained under the applicable Google/Firebase policies and operational requirements. Advertising consent and identifier controls are available where required in the app and Android/Google settings.

Children's Privacy

Salah Assistant is not designed or marketed to children. The current Google Play release is intended for adults. We do not knowingly use the app to collect children's personal information.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the app, including HTTPS transport used by Google services, Android private storage, disabled app-data backup, and Android Keystore encryption for the cached premium entitlement.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when app features, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. The published policy will show its effective date.

Material changes should also be reflected in the in-app privacy explanation and Google Play Data safety form.
